Monopterus Albus

Again I wants to tell you more about eels. Asian eels or Monopterus Albus are from the Synbranchidae family. These eels can spawn in shallow ponds with 6 inches of black mud. You usually can see the eggs sticking to the bubbles on the water surface. These eggs will hatch in 72 hours and you will see baby eels swimming 3 days later. These fry will eat nauplii or radiolarians. All young eels are female but some change sex and becomes male as they age. If the male found itself with no female environment, it will change sex to female again (lol). This change can take up to 1 year. Amazing huh!

Hope For Jasper
